NATALIA CANOVAS

Natalia Canovas has been dancing competitively since the age of 8. Throughout the years, Natalia trained with the best dancers and instructors in the business, including but not limited to, Victor Smalley, Angel Armas, Ingrid Dinicola, Lourdes Arballos and many more. She trained extensively in Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop and Modern. Natalia competed till the age of 18, that is when she discovered her true passion, teaching the art of dance to young inspiring dancers. 

After her last competitive year, Natalia took a leap of faith and opened her own dance studio, Moving Artist Dance Company. For the past 10 years, Natalia has been training dancers of all ages, and has won several awards at different competitions every year including “Best of Jump”, prestigious choreography awards and first place at many Nationals dance competitions. Her students have won several overall top scores, scholarships, and special awards. Some of her students have pursued their love of dance and have been featured in music videos, Broadway, and cruise lines like Disney and MSC. 

Natalia has also been invited by several schools to teach and choreograph competitive pieces for them. She has worked with W.R. Thomas Middle School, G. Holmes Braddock Senior Highschool, Mother of Christ and many more! As a result, the teams have won several awards with her choreographed pieces the past several years. She has also found a new career path by judging at various dance competitions throughout the United States!

Natalia continues to inspire young dancers every day!
