TRENTON “TJ” SHAKESPEARE

Trenton “TJ” Shakespeare is a native of Jacksonville, Florida that lives through hip hop and urban movements. His style is high energy, sharp, hard hitting, intricate movements infused with grooves! Trenton’s hip hop movement has advanced over the years through extensive training with Kollage Dance Troupe (FSU-Tallahassee, Florida) and A Kavin Grant Productions (Jacksonville, Florida), Mega Mind Productions (Jacksonville, Florida), Spectrum Dance Factory (Jacksonville, Florida), i-Move U-Move (Jacksonville, Florida), Monsters of Hip Hop (Orlando, Florida), Build- A-Beast-Experience and in Los Angeles.

Trenton has toured the United States with Showtime Australia’s The Greatest Love of All Show: The Whitney Houston Tribute (2018, 2019 and 2022) and as rehearsal director of Proud Tina Show: The Tina Turner Tribute with Showtime Australia (2022).

TJ has performed on the Millennium Tour with (B2K) and in the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show with The Weeknd. In addition to presenting choreography all over Florida, in Atlanta, New York City, Las Vegas, and Paris, France, TJ has been a guest choreographer for Lavilla School of the Arts, Fort Caroline Middle School, Bartram Trail High School, Terry Parker Braves Varsity Cheerleading Squad, AFL’s Jacksonville Shark Attack Dance Team, as well as competitively for 1st Class Athletics, Bollywood Dance Mania, Bartram Trail Dance Team, WreckLess, and the entire Hype Fam.

Trenton is the co-founder and co-director of i-Move U-Move Dance Workshop Series, currently active as co-director and dancer in WreckLess Dance Crew, and co-director of Da Hype Fam (2 Hype, Jr. Hype, Lil Hype and Mini Hype). He’s an alumni of ImmaBeast, ImmaBreathe, A Rhythm Nation, RareBreed and Systematic Illite.

The quote that drives him is, “I have to be my best so I can help others be their best.” He believes we are all connected and can grow from one another and he is spreading that love and message one dance at a time!
